Wordsmiths and lovers of literature converge at the Word for Word: National Non-fiction Festival. This is one literary event that is not to be missed.
Initiated by Deakin University’s School of Communication and Creative Arts in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong and Geelong Regional Library Corporation with support from Regional Development Victoria, the festival aims to establish an enduring legacy for the Geelong community.
Last year’s Word for Word program featured an amazing line-up of writers including best-selling author Tara Moss, Classic FM breakfast presenter Emma Ayres, The Guardian journalist Paul Daley, spin specialist from The Gruen Transfer Dee Madigan, broadcaster and musician Sian Pryor and former MasterChef contestant and food blogger, Billy Law. The 2015 list is bound to be as impressive.
Be there for Australia’s largest non-fiction literature festival which showcases writing and ideas. Audiences are sure to be inspired by the intellectually stimulating sessions from workshops to panel discussions, ‘in conversation’ sessions and keynote speakers, with topics ranging from extreme adventures to true crime, biography to history and sport.
All Word for Word Festival sessions are ticketed as numbers are limited. This event is proudly supported by Geelong Major Events.
Save the dates from 12 September 2015 to 13 September 2015 and head over to Waterfront Campus Deakin University, 1 Gheringhap Street, Geelong.
